Tom Dreesen’s life is equal parts comedy and
philanthropy. He excels at both and has created an extraordinary legacy in both
arenas.
Dreesen has made over 500 appearances on national
television as a stand-up comedian, including more than 60 appearances on The
Tonight Show. He was a favorite guest of David Letterman, and frequently hosted
the show in Letterman’s absence. For 14 years he toured cross country and
opened for Frank Sinatra, and has appeared countless times in Las Vegas, Tahoe,
Reno and Atlantic City with artists like Smokey Robinson, Liza Minnelli,
Natalie Cole and Sammy Davis, Jr. Tom has acted in numerous television shows –
from Columbo to Murder She Wrote – and appeared in motion pictures including
Man on the Moon and Spaceballs. He has recorded comedy albums, starred in his
own TV comedy special, Dreesen Street, and hosted a late-night talk show in
Chicago, Night Time Starring Tom Dreesen.
He appeared to rave reviews around the country in his
one-man show “An Evening of Laughter and Memories of Sinatra.”
TIM REID & TOM DREESEN
Dreesen’s comic style is down-to-earth, warm and
unpretentious. Daily Variety called him “a thorough pro… one of the most
respected family comedians of our time.” Frank Sinatra, who called himself a
“saloon singer,” characterized Dreesen as a “saloon comedian.” “We’re a couple
of neighborhood kind of guys,” said Sinatra.
Tom Dreesen’s hometown of Harvey, Illinois named a
street after him. He was also a 2005 recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of
Honor.

For over 50 years, John Mayall has served as a pioneer of blues music, rightly earning him the title, "The Godfather of British Blues". In 2013, John signed with producer Eric Corne's label, Forty Below Records, and has since been experiencing a true artistic and career renaissance, including a Blues Hall of Fame induction in 2015.
On February 22nd Forty Below Records will release Nobody Told Me, the new studio album from The Godfather of British Blues, John Mayall. As with his last handful of albums, Mayall again shares production duties with Forty Below Founder Eric Corne who also handles engineering and mixing duties.
The album boasts an impressive and diverse list of guest guitarists, all personal favorites of Mayall’s including Todd Rundgren, Little Steven Van Zandt of The E Street Band, Alex Lifeson from Rush, Joe Bonamassa, Larry McCray and Carolyn Wonderland who will be joining the band on tour. Also, on hand are Mayall’s dynamic Chicago rhythm section of Greg Rzab on bass guitar and Jay Davenport on drums, along with Billy Watts (Lucinda Williams) on rhythm guitar and Mayall’s regular horn section, moonlighting from their day job in The Late Show with Conan O’Brien’s house band.

Keith Ellis from The Koobas-Roy Wood from Woods and The o'jays-Jimi Hendrix from The Jimi Hendrix Experience-Noel Redding from The Jimi Hendrix Experience-Carl Wayne-John Mayall-Steve Winwood from Traffic-Trevor Burton from Steve Gibbons Band-Roy Morris The Koobas
The album was recorded at The Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 on the same legendary Sound City Neve console his one-time protégés from Fleetwood Mac used to record parts of the best-selling Rumors album.
“This project has been a true labor of love for me and I can’t wait for people to hear the fireworks that took place,” beams Mayall. Nobody Told Me is an apt title for the blues icon who suffered a recent unexpected health scare shortly after recording the album. But, the seemingly ageless road dog, who famously takes no days off and carries his own gear on tour, has been given a clean bill of health and plans to return to his usual grueling touring schedule to support the release.
QUOTES
John Mayall has actually run an incredibly great school for musicians. …Eric Clapton
John Mayall, he was the Master of It. If it wasn't for the British musicians, a lot of us black musicians in America would still be catchin' the hell that we caught long before. So, thanks to all you guys, thank you very much! …BB King
I had this friend in London, John Mayall of the Bluesbreakers, who used to play me a lot of records late at night. He was a kind of DJ-type guy. You'd go back to his place, and he'd sit you down, give you a drink, and say "Just check this out." He'd go over to his deck, and for hours he'd blast you with B.B. King, Eric Clapton - he was sort of showing me where all of Eric's stuff was from, you know. He gave me a little evening's education in that. I was turned on after that, and I went and bought an Epiphone. So, then I could wind up with the Vox amp and get some nice feedback. …Paul McCartney

Neil Ratner quit college in the late sixties and traversed the Hollywood celebrity world as a successful road manager for names like Edgar Winters White Trash and tour manager for Emerson Lake and Palmer. He established a full-service production company (a pioneering approach at this stage) to support the artists on tour and worked with T-Rex, Genesis, Pink Floyd and many others. Later in his career he managed the successful songwriter Denise Rich and built Dream Factory studios in NYC. Denise was the wife of Marc Rich, (one of the world’s most successful commodities traders, indicted in the largest case of tax evasion ever brought against an individual in the US at that time) After his successful career in the music industry he decided it was time to follow his heart and pursue his other childhood dream of becoming an MD. Even though not a single American school wanted to take him, he didn’t give up and moved to Mexico to get his medical degree. He made it back into the American system and after many years of residency Neil became an anesthesiologist. Traditionally anesthesiologists worked in hospitals, but Neil had other ideas.
He was the first to take the practice of anesthesia out of the hospital and into doctors’ offices in NYC. When Propofol became available in the U.S. in the late 1980 s Neil was one of the first to become expert in its usage as it was a perfect drug for office use. His relationship with the top plastic and reconstructive surgeons in New York allowed him to treat a number of high-profile patients. That is how Neil met Michael Jackson. He became his personal doctor and a close friend. They had a lot in common. Neil accompanied the star from late 1997 until his last performance in 2001. Neil became a trusted friend of Michael's from 1994 to 2002, periodically going on tour and spending time with Michael at Neverland.
Rock Doc is Neil’s remarkable journey about Rock & Roll and Michael Jackson, Nelson Mandela, a prison sentence with very unexpected results and how helping the poorest of the poor became a key part of his life.

ROCK DOC will take you from backstage at a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon concert in the early seventies, where Neil's production company, Circus Talents, Ltd. was providing production services, to the office operating rooms of elite New York surgeons where Neil Ratner MD was Director of Anesthesia. Neil was an aspiring rock n roll drummer but ended up on the other side of the business working as both a tour manager for Emerson, Lake, & Palmer and providing production for the Pink Floyd. After a bad attack of kidney stones and a stint in the hospital, Neil had an epiphany and decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a doctor. Dr. Ratner became an expert in the use of the new drug, Propofol, a drug that would play a significant role in Neil's future. Although Dr. Ratner encountered many celebrities in his anesthesia practice, one would change his life... Michael Jackson.

If you miss rock music and those iconic alternative rock & grunge bands of the 90’s which have lost its most influential band members to drugs and suicide … don’t worry because Empty Trail is HERE!Rick Lambert is a cross between Chris Cornell & Layne Staley! My new favorite band!
Austin, Texas has spawned a variety of world-renowned bands over the years that covered a wide variety of styles - Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, the Sword, Scratch Acid, Dangerous Toys- and a band that one day may very well be mentioned in the same breath is the fast-rising/hard rocking Empty Trail. Comprised of members Rick Lambert (vocals/guitar), Shane Wallin (bass), and Rom Gov (drums), the band was started elsewhere. “The band essentially formed here in Austin,” recalls Lambert. “However, it has been a personal project of mine since the spring of 2013 while I was living in Los Angeles. I thought it would be better to start a band in Austin because of the highly saturated market in Los Angeles. I went through a couple of members, but eventually found the full live band in the summer of 2016. I decided to keep it as a 3-piece. It seemed a bit less expected.”
Empty Trail’s most recent single, “My World,” Lambert and company have already solidified their sound. Lambert states … “I think Empty Trail’s sound takes bits and pieces of the most iconic hard rock/metal bands while maintaining authenticity. I’ve always wanted things to be relatable and believable. I don’t really want to be limited to a box. I’m sure every artist says this, but it’s true! I think the music fits the mold of catchy and even pop-y at times, which seems to be what’s going around, but it comes from a real place. I’m in music because this keeps me going. I have something I need to say, something that I need to let out, because if I bottle it up it is destructive. Yes, it’s rock, and it’s exciting and I want everyone to have a great time, but if you are listening, I hope it makes you feel understood. Somewhere where you can be free and not judged for who you are.”
